Due to lack of rainfall the lake is low. We are currently monitoring the situation and hope to be able to open to new and returning members this coming season. About

Henri Waegell and Margaret Tiessen Waegell first started ranching in 1919. They raised cattle, turkeys, pigs,  Kadota figs and other crops. In 1950 they acquired Blodgett Lake from the Blodgett Family. The Waegell Bros. opened the lake up to members for fishing in 1951. Dove, goose and duck hunting is also offered on the 2700 acre ranch.  A third generation farming operation, Tiessen and Waegell Ranch raises sheep, seed crops and hay.
